Tien (tiensblurb) | 1641 comments My least favourite in the series so far, I think. This one focused a lot more on Ciri; if I remember correctly, we didn't see very much of her in the last book so in this one, her journey is fully told up to a certain point. We barely see Yenefer at all and only a bit more of Geralt. Unfortunately, Geralt really isn't his usual self so the humour which was present in earlier books is missing. I have to admit that the humour is one of the highlights of this series so I missed that so much in this read.

It was also a little bit hard to get into and with all the switch backs and forths between characters, time settings, and places, you've really got to be switched on when reading this one. Overall, a rather eventful journey for Ciri but I didn't think this was as fun as the other books. I do hope Geralt recovers his wellbeing and therefore, his humour in the next book.
