Creating a series help needed.

I have a series question. I've tired to do it on my own but I'm not authorized and I understand it requires a librarian. Thanks for your help.

My book, The Idea Miners: The Lost Lake Dig should be in a series named The Idea Miners. It should be the first in the series. When I edit a version of the book and click add new series I get a message that I'm not authorized to do that.

Followup question: Once I have The Lost Lake Dig in The Idea Miner Series, I have the second book in the series to add. How do I do that. In the title entry field, the documentation makes reference to it but I don't understand. Would I just enter "The Idea Miners: The Lost Lake Dig (The Idea Miners #2)? It's not clear to me if this is what's needed.

Is the second book on Goodreads yet? No, not yet. It's on Amazon as a Pre-order ebook.

Will I be able to set it up on Goodreads myself and assign it to the series? --If I can, any advice on linking it to the series? As I said in my initial question, I'm unsure of that.

It is on Goodreads, actually. I had to look up the title.
I have added it to the series.
