Really enjoyed this mystery/coming of age novel. You do have to suspend reality a bit but, hey, it’s fiction. Loved the characters and their evolution, the twists and turns along the way and the ending was satisfying. Patch and Saint were good, decent people and it’s interesting to see how being a “good person” differs so drastically in them. Sad and tragic and a hard read (child abduction) but I did enjoy reading it and will look for other books by Whitaker.
