Hi Mark,
I came across your story blurb, and it’s intriguing. The premise of chasing a mystery and having your sibling caught in the mess, alongside family expectations, is a refreshing take on the genre. It's exactly the kind of story I enjoy reading.
As a beta reader and developmental editor with over three years of experience and a 5-star rating, I would love to offer my services. I provide detailed feedback on various aspects of a manuscript, including plot holes, story and character development, pacing, narration, scenes, and overall readability.

I would love to provide feedback on your thriller! I specialize in beta reading thrillers and horror, so I'm very up-to-date on the thriller genre and can recognize when something will or won't resonate with readers.
My written report includes thoughts on characters, pacing, favorite and least favorite parts, reactions to twists and predictions, plot holes or questions I still have after reading, and I'll answer any questions you have about specific areas or concerns. I also include chapter-by-chapter notes that include my thoughts and summarize the plot from a reader's perspective.
My rate is $50 for novels with a 3-week turnaround time, but I'm always open to negotiating cost in case there's a price that better suits your budget!
If my service sounds like the right fit for you, feel free to email me at: ellas.reading.nook.mail@gmail.com
Or, you can find me on Fiverr and read some of my reviews here: https://www.fiverr.com/s/pdj47Wo
I look forward to hearing from you!

If you're a fan of Chandler, Ross Macdonald, and Lawrence Block... you'll probably enjoy this. It's Matthew Scudder meets DCI John Barnaby. One reader said "Exciting, sexy and suspenseful. A full throttle thrill ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat right up until the end!" about the first book in the series. This isn't your typical murder mystery with a smart detective book, it's... nuanced, complex, witty and psychological insightful.
I wrote this book because the gap between the smart, untainted-by-humanity sleuth and the miserable, doomed detective with no hope has grown so wide. I wanted a detective who had real problems that threatened their happiness and contentment, but also drove them to overcome, both in the detection of crime, and in the fulfillment of personal obligations.
If you HATE the same old cheesy amateur sleuth without a care or doomed P.I./Detective without hope, but love complicated detectives with real problems they actually try to solve, then this book is for you.

Sales Are Down. Murder Is Up.
Connor Pierce struggles to salvage the foreign car dealership his father left him, despite his mother's constant hindrance to every sale. Its the year 2000 in nationalist Eastern Montana, and he's kept the business alive through Y2K. His part-time P.I. business barely helps to make ends meet, and his routine absence displeases his wife. And he rarely sees his children.
When a major deal falls through, Connor does the only thing he knows to do— find lost things and solve mysteries. He takes on a P.I. job 600 miles away, in the wild mountains near Canada, to help his rebellious sister find a missing child and make enough money to survive the holiday.
Then, things take a dark turn — his reckless investigation style triggers a murder that lands his sister in jail. He must solve the murder to set her free. Local law wants him out of town and an underground network of human traffickers backed by East Coast gangsters run interference.
As the stakes grow, he must confront his family's long-standing grudges and trauma to clear his sister's name. The clock is ticking, and every step he takes brings him closer to the edge of a treacherous cliff with no safety net below.
