Camille | 2302 comments To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc.

How does this collection of books fall into this criteria?

Abigail Pankau (agatheathena) | 1356 comments These are all books where the author looks at a specific time in history and debunks misconceptions about it, while also providing details of what really happened. So they are tied together by the author doing the same kind of analysis to historical events.

Camille | 2302 comments I see why the author would make that a series, but it isn't a series under Goodreads criteria.

For this collection of books, it is suggested that people make a Listopia list.

If you want to do that, I'll give you time to create the list before the series is deleted.

Abigail Pankau (agatheathena) | 1356 comments I'm confused why you don't think it's a series. My understanding of the Librarian Guidelines is that they have to be connected by more than just theme (i.e. more than just books about a specific topic).

So these are books that are all by the same author. She does the same kind of historical analysis in them, just with different historical events in each book. All their titles start with "History Smashers" and they are listed as a series by the publisher.

I'm confused why you don't think that makes them a series?
