If the ss is too much we don’t have to use it. It didn’t quite come out the way I wanted anyways. I should have 2 books done in the next couple days then I need to fly through a non-bonus one this weekend.
I'm using it as a personal tbr kinda XD so i don't forget what I need to read next/where it goes once done
gonna work on clearing line 3 next, but have the "emperor" and Tolkien BRs i need to do real quick first.
Finally able to finish another book. Hopefully I'll get Castle in the Mist done tomorrow, but it depends on work interruptions. Fingers crossed for some quite audiobook time.
i'm heading into a depression episode, well actually in it already but it'll get worst soon, my reading is taking a bad hit, and being so far behind the next team is discouraging :/ bleh. trying to push myself to get more done but after work i'm just crashing.
Sorry. Take a breather. Your well-being comes first over this. I hope things get better and I get it when the scores drop. Not fun.I think the worst of my crazy work is done so hopefully my reading will be picking up a bit.
Although I think this detailed a challenge right after MMC isnt helping my poor brain.
yah I was expecting the "read whatever you want challenge" to be this month, this one is a lot of mental energy imo, but ig that's the point to challenge you, haha
Brooke wrote: "yah I was expecting the "read whatever you want challenge" to be this month, this one is a lot of mental energy imo, but ig that's the point to challenge you, haha"Wait, I was too thinking that
But now I realise, for the first time my book matches non of the prompts 😭

which book? it might fit one of the spelling ones, unless it doesn't have many foreign language editions

It's Stuck with You

I asked on the challenge thread about the narrators/translators
Brooke wrote: "ok it's just author names, so i'd go with Amsterdam using that other edition"Ok
I'll add it after writing the review
I posted mine for Nairobi :) I'm sorry you were struggling Brooke! Hopefully things are looking up for you. I have those times too. My month has really been derailed because my mom's Alzheimers took a serious turn a few weeks ago but again last week so a few days ago we made the really hard decision to choose an assisted living facility for her. I know it is right and necessary but my dad is having an incredibly hard time because they've been together so long. She's moving in on Saturday. Phew. ANYWAYS!! Haha. I am half way done with my current read, it is another book club read so I need to see where it will fit. It is Middle of the Night.
I'm glad you found somewhere safe for her to go. we had to take my father-in-law back to Mexico once he got to that point because he had no insurance and places into the US were easily 5k/mth.
I am working on Return of the King and Nil remembered. and then we shall see if I can squeeze in 1 more but it will likely just be a random book. These prompts are not working for me unfortunately. Feeling uninspired spending more time hunting books down that actually reading books I want to read. Trying though. Should have 1 done hopefully tomorrow

i thought my 'island' book went back today but guess it was yesterday, so i'm switching to 'mermaid' then i'll finish out line 3, well i need to finish Divergent today or the BR won't count, i got very behind on those :( then finishing line 3
I'm going to finish a book and a manga that can fit for multiple capitals. I'll see what fits best when finished.
Saar The Book owl wrote: "I'm going to finish a book and a manga that can fit for multiple capitals. I'll see what fits best when finished."I think once I finished me current read, if there is still time, looking to manga will be the way to go.
I just wish I were in more a graphic novel mood, but feeling more up to it now that I was earlier this month.
reading Dublin right now, should finish it before end of my work day, then line 2 is done. i think one of my mangas would work for Toyko, i'll have to check after work, as my manga reading app is blocked at work :/ also started Antananarivo, it's a kindle book though, so will take a second.
so just leaves Cairo, idk if i have a book for that.
Brooke wrote: "reading Dublin right now, should finish it before end of my work day, then line 2 is done. i think one of my mangas would work for Toyko, i'll have to check after work, as my manga reading app is b..."I guess The Red Pyramid will work for Cairo (I am not sure cause I haven't read that one).
But the book is 528 pages long!!!
ok here's my plan:Today;
Tomorrow;
Friday; start and hopefully finish The Red Pyramid, which is very long as Anshika pointed out, 15hrs for the audio, so probably all i'll get done started this
Saturday; work on Antananarivo which is a kindle book, takes me a minute to get done with those as i like multitasking and it's too hard to do anything else while reading kindle, i'll probably work on it a bit each afternoon as well, the person i watch most on Twitch in on vacay so my afternoons should be more free.
so with ALL those, the board will be cleared :)
BUT if anyone else has something, we just have;
Antananarivo
Cairo
left for the clearing of the board.
Sorry everyone, this month was not it for me. I have been ill these past 2 weeks and so exhausted I couldnt even focus on reading. Just started to recover yesterday. :( Still on the mend. It was fun reading with you all. Brooke, I especially owe you an apology. I really had hoped to read more.
well my plan failed, my niece's birthday part was rescheduled to today and I didn't know and it's taken most of my day up, I can maybe finish Red Pyramid but definitely not the one for Antananarivo

I will start The Chameleon Wore Chartreuse ASAP. But it is an illustrative book and only contains 128 pages and the rules say that the min page count for illustrative books should be 150. So I would pair it with A paper menagerie.
