When Farnsworth addresses the team about Arnold’s death, he opens it up to the detectives to share openly about their feelings. Gonzo sort of bleeds all over it. Your thoughts about what he did? Was he being selfish or just overwhelmed with guilt and grief?

Poor Gonzo. I really felt for him.
I did not see him as selfish. He felt responsible for his junior partner and while his guilt is misplaced, it is understandable.

[Sharon]

It broke my heart to see Gonzo fall apart and blame himself. He wasn't selfish at all. He couldn't get past the thought that it should have been him.

[Robin]

I didn't think Gonzo was selfish at all. He believes that he should have never told Arnold to take the lead. He is blaming himself for what happened.

[Anita]

I agree with Sharon, it broke my heart too. His grief and guilt were eating him up.
