Sam has been in quite a few life and death situations but always bounced back rather quickly. This time, she’s struggling, preferring to stay home and take care of her son, husband and the household. She’s also refusing to o-en up to her therapist. What was different about this last abduction by Stahl?

This time she knows she was close to death. She also knows the impact on the people she loves. I'm hoping this will make her think twice before she makes any more careless decisions.

I appreciate Force's realistic portrayal of Sam's PTSD. It would be strange if she just carried on regardless after being attacked so brutally by a fellow officer.

I think this is more a realization of the culmination all the life-threatening situations she has been in and the impact they have had on everyone around her, especially Nick. She also realizes that her chutzpah could have cost her life.
