I never make resolutions...no one keeps them. I think they're stupid. If you decide to do something, just do it, don't declare it to the world and then hope no one notices when it never happens!

Donna The move is clipping along alright... I have one more day to pack up all my cares and woes before here we go singing low... Bye Bye Blackbird...
oops... sorry... thought I was still in a musical.
I don't have the energy to Annex the Sudatenland. I swear... how do these fascists go it? I can't imagining caring enough to annex anything. I can barely keep my yard mowed and watered.
Sarah... musicals ROCK!!!

1. Learn how to change my own oil.
Failed.
2. Keep up with my weight loss program (WW Online).
Lost 10lbs so far.
3. Do something about all the paperwork that needs to be filed.
Decided to shred instead. Almost complete
4. Not give in to the desire to cut my hair off.
Cut it off again last night - about 3 inches. Feels wonderful, but the husband doesn't like it. :(
5. Go to the zoo at least twice.
Have done this once so far.
6. Clean the garage so we can walk through it without tripping over things.
No progress. If anything, it has gotten worse.
Anybody else have updates?
Edited items 1 and 4 on 5/15/08.

2) Lift weights more. I'm on a cardio kick since a shoulder injury. Have to start with the weights again. SUCKED AT THIS ONE TOO.
3) Not get too caught up in work. DID OK.
4) Post a poem every Saturday. NAH, BUT I SET MYSELF ON THIS ONE WHEN SPRING IS SO BUSY.
Apparently I have the self-discipline of a five year old in a candy store.
Thanks Charly... she has been on much better behavior as of late, so we're in a reprive at the moment. Probably as soon as moving is over she'll hit me with another round of teenagerness. But for the moment I am enjoying the lack of drama.

1. Look my cats in the eye and order them about - "lock the door!" or "bring me my pipe!"
2. Hang off a clock on a tall building like Harold Lloyd does in the one movie anyone remembers him in.
3. Stalk Naomi Watts.
4. Avoid arrest.
5. Go back in time and watch a Hank Williams gig.
6. Go back in time armed with a Kalashnikov and rescue Jesus from the cross.
7. Check out what #6 has done to the rest of human history.
8. Finish the books I am allegedly currently reading which may be ever so slightly not true.
9. Stop cross dressing so blatantly.
10. Marry someone.

1. Figure out what I want to do about grad school and start working towards that goal.
(A bit more sure, but not entirely.)
2. In that vein, start my studying for the GREs pretty soon(taking them in September).
(Nope! Haven't even cracked a book. I bought two of them, but they are just sitting there accusingly at the moment. The plan is to start after I get back from my vacation in early June. We'll see how /that/ goes.)
3. Stop eating crap. It flushes any work I do at the gym down the tubes. Damn cookies.
(Nope, still eat like crap. DAMN COOKIES!!)
4. Have a better attitude about my job. It may not be what I want to be doing, but I still need to do well here to get to a job I actually like.
(Doing better about this, I think. I still have my moments, but they aren't so bad anymore.)
5. Be a little braver in my choices, all around.
(I think I've done this on at least one big decision, trying to do it on others.)
6. Get my mother's voice out of my head a bit.
(I try. It works about half the time.)
7. Learn how to cook more than three things.
(Not yet! But I have cookbooks and I've made choices. I just need to do it.)
8. Write more. I've been letting that slide.
(Fail, until the last week or two. I'm getting back into it.)
9. Be more sensible/better about money.
(FAIL.)
Um... so, 2.5 out of 9? Yeah, I fail.
Paul: Don't stop doing #9!! That sounds like fun! :)

1) keep the house neat and tidy
2) plant a garden
3) practice self-restraint
UPDATE: Not going so well.
Things I may do:
1) keep the house neater
2) plant a garden
UPDATE: See above.
Things I will do:
1) plant more flowers
2) indulge myself
UPDATE: #1 Planned. #2 Accomplished.
Hey Paul. #2 and #3 may foul up #4 for you. Proceed with care.

We've been averaging 5 days a week, and it used to be practically never! Now with the weather getting hotter, let's see if I actually take her in the mornings before it gets too bad. She absolutely loves her walk.
2. Keep the house tidier. I don't have a job. I have no excuse.
Doing better on that too. Not as well as I should, but better than before.
3. Beautify my yard.
Not at all. The guys who do the weekly maintenance are doing a good job with that, but I need to do some clean up and plant some stuff and replace the bark. Maybe before Meghan comes to visit in 2 weeks. But probably not.
4. Get a little braver.
I don't remember what I was referring to here.
1) Go bike riding on sunny weekends, no matter what.
I'm doing pretty well with this, but that's because there haven't been many sunny weekends. This one coming up looks promising, though.
2) Finish painting the stairwell, so BOTH sides are Ionian Blue.
No progress, since it's been too cold to open the windows to air out paint fumes. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.
3) Sort through all my books, and give the Friends of the Library the ones I honestly won't ever get back to. It won't be easy.
You don't need a sunny day for that, do you. Hmm. Um, yeah, I'm still going to do that...
