Stats Explanation?

Can someone please explain to me the stats in the author's dashboard.

What does: total books added and on to-read shelf mean? They sort of sound like the same thing but they don't have the same numbers. Can someone help me understand the stats here

I would assume total books added includes other shelves than the to-read shelf. But librarians don't have access to the author dashboard, so we can't answer for sure. Asking this in group aimed at Goodreads authors might be more helpful.
