Cyndy (cyndy-ksreader) | 527 comments Ran across by accident. Series page is:

https://www.goodreads.com/series/1475...

Not sure why the 2013 AARP Almanac would be part of this series.

Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments I think you should contact Goodreads support because those changes were made by Goodreads staff according to the logs.

Cyndy (cyndy-ksreader) | 527 comments How do I do that?

Through this link: https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...

Cyndy (cyndy-ksreader) | 527 comments Done. Seems odd that an end user has to retype and copy the links for this to be sent to another group.

You could have found it yourself via the usual chain of company links at the bottom.

Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments It looks like they only removed the work from the series but they actually had to separate the bad edition that was wrongly combined and became the default, the editions of the book are still wrongly combined https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

There's also an edition that used to be a completely different book.

I don't know how we should approach it. The Midwife should be book 1 in the series, now the series only has book 2 https://www.goodreads.com/series/1475...

Cyndy (cyndy-ksreader) | 527 comments Thank you, Tami. I'll leave that with your group. The support group is apparently done with it. I wasn't trying to be rude with the seems odd comment above. I knew I could go find it, was just lazy. :-) mainly because I think librarians should be able to push requests to support. I guess maybe involve a more senior librarian?

Scott, thanks, but Tami had me covered.

No problem, but the request was not handled correctly by the staff. They did what you asked (removing the book from the series), but that doesn’t fully address the issue as I explained above.

Librarians do not have a direct line of communication with Goodreads support. We must use the same "Contact Us" link that you did, and we are not obligated to forward requests to support. All of this is volunteer work. Regular users can also contact support. There is no role such as a senior librarian; there are only superlibrarians, but they are not staff and do not have a direct line to staff. They can perform certain actions that regular librarians cannot, but none of these actions pertain to this request.

Cyndy (cyndy-ksreader) | 527 comments Thanks, was really just asking questions. I knew librarians were volunteers, that's why I try to be nice (not my forte!). I'll mark this as done.
