I don't like when this crap happens in books. Cops have a bad rap as it is. I hate when an author tarnishes the reputation of a good character. Yes he should be disciplined.
Yes, he should be disciplined. It was such a stupid thing to do. If he was caught (and word got out to the press), he could be fired. It could also lead to Elliot not being charged.
I agree with Sharon. Freddie is a good man and a good cop. Portraying him as violent and abusive toward a detainee undermines his character. There are other ways to present the realities of police brutality.
As for his actions, 100% unacceptable and he should be disciplined and perhaps even fired. There is no place for police brutality on the force in any shape or form.
