Thinking about the happy ending and wanting to hear your opinion

I finished this book rn and I know I should be happy because of the happy ending. And I am, truly. BUT my pessimistic brain can't help but wonder how long will it last. After all, Evangeline is a mortal girl, while Jacks is immortal. I cannot help but imagine what will happen to Jacks when Evangeline finnaly dies (of old age hopefully). I wrote this post just in case you know a way to make Jacks a mortal, so they can grow old together, or a way to make Evangeline immortal, so they'll live happily ever after forever.
