Skyler (talulareads) Hello everyone my name is Skyler. I fell back in love with reading recently and now work at a library (dream come true). I'm new to this group and ARC reading but i'm on the lookout for my first ARC book.

I read several genres:
Fiction, Romance, Fantasy, Mystery, Thrillers, Dystopian, and Romantasy.
(Though I am able to spread my wings to explore other genres)

Looking forward to working with some amazing authors and read some amazing books!

Scott Pinkowski | 3 comments Hi, Skyler!

In the name of spreading your wings and exploring other genres, I'd like to offer you a chance to read and review my novel The Orphan Ark. Release date is September 14.

This is a YA Sci-Fi story of about 76K words with superhero elements as well as alien contact.

You can find out more about the book here.

This title might not be right for you which is understandable, but if you're interested and willing to give it a fair shake, an honest review on Amazon and Goodreads would be appreciated. An epub or pdf is available via email.

Best of luck to you in building up your reading list.

V.E. Duncan | 13 comments Hi Skyler!

I wish I worked in a library! Although...kid in a candy store...

If you're interested, I've got an upcoming release on Nov 1 and I'm looking for ARC readers. This is for Hunting Grounds, book 2 of the Immortal series. It's adult romance/sci-fi/thriller.

If you also wanted to read book 1 (Immortal), it's available for free in KU, or else I'll have an opportunity to get it for free or 99c around the same time as I send out ARC copies (late Aug/early Sept).

I've got a google form set up for people to sign up to my ARC team here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FA...

It's got the description of the book and possible trigger warnings, so you can decide if it's for you.

Also, if you wanted to read something shorter for free to see if you like the series, you can get the prequel novella (Book 0: Mortal Prey) for free when you sign up to my email list on my website at veduncan.com/sign-up.

You can also send me an email at veduncan@veduncan.com, I'd love to hear from you!

Happy reading,
Ginger (VE Duncan)

Hi Skyler,

I hope you’re well! I’m Paolo Danese, an epic fantasy author.

I just launched *Rise of the Nemesis*, and I think it could be a great fit for your reading interests, especially if you enjoy stories that combine high-stakes adventure with deep world-building and complex characters.

About the Book:
In a world on the brink of destruction, Boren, a hero driven by vengeance, teams up with a powerful dragon to face ancient demigods and an apocalyptic plot threatening two realms. It’s a tale of dark magic, mythical creatures, and epic battles, where every choice could mean the difference between salvation and annihilation.

If this sounds interesting, feel free to get the ARC at the links below:

Hi Skyler!
I am reaching out to see if you’d like to be an ARC reader for my upcoming release, "A Distortion of Fate." This dark, political sci-fantasy is reminiscent of Arcane, The Lies of Locke Lamora, Game of Thrones, and Final Fantasy VII.
A Distortion of Fate weaves a complex narrative across four points-of-view and a dozen timeline in an intricately layered mystery that builds toward a deadly climax. You can check the page for it to see other early reviews!
This book has been professionally edited as well as through a proofreader. If you are interested in receiving an advance reader copy, I would be delighted to send one your way.
Thank you so much for considering me.
Warmly,
Meg (M.J. Lindsey)

Jeffer Nightwind | 32 comments Hello Skyler,

I recently released my first book in the Bane War series, https://www.amazon.com/Fury-Bane-War-...

Series theme is Heaven's angels, technological beings, waging eternal war against Navia's demons, magical beings. 5000 years ago they signed a peace treaty, but now wage war through proxies. Yava is the latest battleground.

Saffa is this book's protagonist, a sassy battlemage wielding a longsword while casting fire and ice magic.

The book takes inspiration from Slavic mythology and Ukraine's fight for freedom.

I had 3 women beta read and they gave mostly positive feedback, but now I'm trying to get more eyes and brains on the story. I'm eager to improve the dark fantasy and romance pieces, as I have at least six more books planned.

Genre is DESR (dark epic science romantasy). Content rating is MA.

If you are interested in reading, let me know via message or email to author@banewar.com, and I can get you a hardback, paperback, or .epub copy, whatever you want.

Elena Perella | 8 comments Hi Skyler,

I have written a book on my personal experience of domestic violence. I was in a relationship with a narcissist psychopath that was manifestation of generational trauma and emotional wounds. I found my way out by freeing myself from my family's damaging influence and learning to really love myself.

I'd love to receive your feedback and opinion. If you are interested, let me know and I will send you a copy.

Thanks!

I'd be thrilled if you'd consider reading and reviewing my book - Poinsettia Lane. It's a small town, slow burn romance with found family and all the feel good vibes - a perfect read as a palette cleanser or when you're in the mood for something lighter and easier.

Blurb:
What do accidental stalking, panic attacks, and landscaping have in common?

Everly’s life is exactly as it should be, until her estranged sister comes back to town the same day Asim Jabbar knocks on her door, nearly knocking Everly off her slipper-clad feet and her anxious heart right out of her chest.

After the flirtiest plant delivery of her life, Everly tries to find her Hot Delivery Guy without becoming a stalker, then digs herself into a hole when she enlists his help re-landscaping her yard. An already immaculate yard that does not need any new plants.

Asim agrees, on one condition: that Everly get her perfectly manicured hands dirty and join him. Despite Asim turning her life upside down, Everly can't stop thinking about the muscular, tattooed plant dad.

But when Asim’s world collapses and past scars threaten their future, Everly doesn’t realize all that Asim has sacrificed for her until it’s too late.

George Veck | 31 comments Hi Skyler,

My newest book 91-Day Sanction is a crime fiction tale set in Gwynedd, North Wales that is 67k words long. Should it pique your interest, I have it available in epub, kpf or pdf form. You're welcome to either DM me or email for a copy: georgeveckauthor@hotmail.com

Blurb
Sadistic work coach James Burgess has finally bagged his dream job after three years of trying, two hundred miles from home in rural Gwynedd, north Wales. But with promotion firmly in mind, cutting the jobcentre's wage bill soon becomes his sport, at any cost, leaving a trail of chaos and hunger in his wake.

As house prices soar and job prospects dwindle, many of James' ''casualties of war'' wind up at Morywelon homeless hostel, where the waiting list is insatiable. Managing such a place takes gall, and Denise Groves' ten-year stint certainly took its psychological toll. But she's back for a second spell, to the job she loved and held since leaving school with no GCSEs.

The catch? Well, this time, their security guards have been laid off...

Denise fiercely defends residents against ignorant scorn the wider community assumes to inflict, so is held in the highest regard by most. But tough decisions must be made, and hell-raisers don't always leave when asked nicely...

Denise needs her support network more than ever, but it's fallen off a cliff. After a decade in the 'single lane', all best mate Jules wants is to set her up. Great, if only for Jules' dodgy choice of men. Seedy, serial cockney scammer Rick is her latest, and has a few turbulent potential answers for Denise's 'problem'.

Lorcan Volkov | 5 comments Hi Skyler,

I have a 32K word psych thriller, dark humour, lit fiction novella. Publication is on March 1st. All digital formats are available but I'm sorry I don't have any hardcopies. Also, in case its not your thing, its pretty adult - sex, violence, language, drug use, etc.

Brendan McFadden is an accomplished, rugby-playing doctor from Cork for whom everything in life has fallen nicely into place. His school friend, Trevor, hasn’t been so lucky: he’s in a miserable marriage and his career has so far been a series of false starts and financial disasters.

A lads’ weekend in Amsterdam sets off a dark chain of events, forcing Brendan to confront long-buried truths—not just about Trevor, but also about himself.

What begins as a humorous meditation on middle-aged malaise quickly spirals into a whirlwind of envy, betrayal, and suppressed longing. From the bleak isolation of a hotel bar on Amsterdam’s outskirts to the rugged beauty of Ireland’s Tory Island, Brendan’s carefully constructed world begins to unravel in ways that are both absurdly comic and profoundly unsettling.

With biting humour, an astute eye for the absurdities of human behaviour and some satisfying twists, Knives and Forks is a wickedly entertaining tale of fragile egos, simmering tensions, and the messy truths that emerge when façades crumble.

Perfect for readers who enjoy character-driven literary fiction with a sharp comedic edge, Knives and Forks is a richly layered debut that will leave you laughing, cringing, and questioning where the line between sanity and madness truly lies.

Many thanks!
Knives + Forks

Jenn Rizzoto | 41 comments Hi, I'm currently looking for reviewers for this book:

Two Novellas

Two life-affirming stories of ordinary people in extraordinary situations.

The Golden Flyswatter takes us to a retro dive bar in Santa Monica, California, where young Natalie Schoenfeldt, an ingenue from Wisconsin, gets a job cocktailing. She soon realizes that the patrons are not who they seem, and Hollywood opportunities may not be either.

The Walk of Washington takes us to present-day Philadelphia, where a young filmmaker is playing piano to pay the rent. When he meets an older gentleman who looks a lot like Benjamin Franklin, the most excellent adventure of his young adult life begins.

Hi! Do you like urban fantasy? I'm looking for readers for my 3rd book in the series. I'm also offering to send the first two (one at a time) so you can get caught up. Which means, I'd understand if your review comes a little later than launch day.

Here's the blurb:
Since Hally’s fated-friend, Nolan, upended her exile mere months ago, they’ve saved the elven realm from a ruthless mage, a deadly curse, and a war with the fae. Now terrorists have struck the elven capital and the royals are being held hostage. It’s Hally and Nolan to the rescue, again.
Despite a family crisis in Paris, they’re forced to drop everything and scramble for an open portal as the network collapses. Every victory has a cost and as secrets surface and sacrifices mount, Hally and Nolan must ask themselves: can they save the realm without losing each other?
*picture on form is not part of the cover. Cover reveal will be August 23th.
