So far, so good! I enjoyed reading with you, too. Thanks for the organizational skills. 😊
Just Made Up Word - Needs one.
The Guncle (LYNN)
Rock Paper Scissors (Carrie) ✔️, OR [paper is part of a book]
The Wishing Game (Alina), OR
The Paragraph Ranch (TerryJane)
Farm - Needs one.
The Reckoning (Carrie), OR
The Paragraph Ranch (TerryJane)
◼ If anyone has a book in progress for these last three prompts, please tell us.
◼ If anyone finishes a book for one of these after the prompt is filled, just add it to the non-prompt area for page points.
◼ If anyone doesn't finish a book, pages read before midnight tonight in your time zone, may be added as a non-prompt entry for page points.
◼ Please remember to fill in the spreadsheet when the readathon concludes.
◼ Thanks to all of you for reading with our fabulous team. We've been amazing! 😊🤗
Rock Paper Scissors is finished. I am headed to add to spreadsheet now. And I should be done with The Reckoning before starting dinner (less than 2 hrs).
Also there was a page read amount entered for Sat on my column for 131 pages that I did not enter. I am putting the correct amount but wanted to say something in case it belongs on someone else's and got entered on kine by accident.
Carrie wrote: "Rock Paper Scissors is finished. I am headed to add to spreadsheet now. And I should be done with The Reckoning before starting dinner (less than 2 hrs)."Way to go, Carrie! Wonderful news!
That means everything else but LYNN's The Guncle can go in the non-prompt section. I have more than two hours left in The Paragraph Ranch.
Ahhh sorry I had a much busier weekend than planned and had really bad signal so I'm just updating the sheet now! Wow congrats everyone!! Just 2 more prompts left!!
Yay! That was so much fun! I will have today's total page count for me and at least one book to add to the non-prompt before midnight. Thank you to everyone for such a great first readathon for me!
Congratulations everyone! Before we started I would have never thought we would be able to finish ALL of the prompts including all of the bonus prompts! Amazing!
Also, the last day was our best day page wise! Well done! :)
I had a lot of fun :)
(Small note: there is a slight discrepancy between the Great Totals- could you all maybe check whether your page numbers for the books in column N is still correct? Or is there someone that hasnt entered an unfinished book in the columns but only in the pages by day part? :) )
All my books have been added and I’ve double checked the page numbers for mine, they balance out. I have really enjoyed this readathon and it has been the most successful team I have been apart of for one of these. I look forward to our paths crossing again in the various other challenges and activities on this page.
I have not double-checked my page numbers yet. I plan to crossfoot them when I finalize message #82. Hopefully, I can do it very soon. It's back to the busy office for me today, and I will sneak over and do it as soon as I can get the morning off and running.
Lina wrote: "Small note: there is a slight discrepancy between the Great Totals- could you all maybe check whether your page numbers for the books in column N is still correct? All together, we reported 167 pages more in the daily section than were recorded for books in the lower section.
LYNN: +17
Carrie: -35
Lina: +34
Norine: +151
Mine, Mansi's, Billie's and Alina's are balanced, but Alina still has two days' reading to enter.
LYNN, Lina, and Norine: If you started a book and recorded it in the daily pages, but didn't add it for a prompt, be sure to capture those pages in the non-prompt, DNF area at the bottom. Also, like Lina said, there could be an error in the pages listed in Column N, especially since books got moved around to cover more prompts.
Carrie, you're the only one who reported too few daily pages. If your book page counts are correct in Column N, I would assume those 35 pages were missed on one of your reading days.
We still need final info from LYNN, Norine, and Alina, then we can report our team results to Bailey. 😁
Norine wrote: "i think i already gave the final info, no? did i leave something out?"Yes, Norine, if you'll look at the Tracking tab on our spreadsheet, I highlighted the discrepancy.
In the Page Tracking at the top, you reported reading 1,511 pages over the 10-day period, but in your book listings in the prompt/non-prompt area, you only have 1360 pages shown in Column N. This means you read 151 pages which were not reported in the bottom section.
You don't have any books marked as Currently Reading on the Planning tab, but if you started your planned books of Charmcaster or Godkiller, or even some other book you didn't add to the sheet, you can list it in the bottom non-prompt area so that we get points for your extra 151 pages of reading, even if it didn't complete a prompt. 😊
Norine added her missing book, balancing her pages. We just need LYNN and Alina to check in now. Mansi, just so you know, I already reached out to them through GR messages.
LYNN's entries are now balanced. 👍If we don't hear from Alina tonight or by, hmm, perhaps midday tomorrow, I will have no choice but to submit our progress without including her last two days of reading. She said she was reading both The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (389p) and The Wishing Game (304p), so I feel sure there are some points to be claimed, but we owe it to bailey and the other teams to report in soon.
Yeah I think we should submit by tomorrow with whatever is already on the sheet. At least it balances with her page points
I just posted this in the Team Progress thread.CAUGHT READ-HANDED
Date: August 2 - August 11, 2024
Pages read: 22,474
Books read: 72 for prompts (also 14 non-prompt entries (some incomplete))
Prompts Completed: 38 (All of them!)
Total Points: 28,324
Note: @bailey, one teammate has not reported her pages and books for Aug. 10 and 11. If she shares this data before you report final results, I will update this post.
@Mansi, you're quite welcome! @Lina, I saw a human interest story from Baden-Württemberg today, about a woman who lives in the Blue Tower (Blauer Turm) as its tower keeper. I wouldn't have thought twice about it before the readathon, but recognized the place name from when you and Alina talked.
I enjoyed being on this amazing team with all of you. One team did not report yet, but of those who have, we are the only team who completed 100% of the prompts. Yay, us! 👏
If anyone wants to friend me here, I'm up for it. Otherwise, I hope to see you in Buddy Reads, Group Reads, Challenges, or a future Readathon. 🤗
Same here!! You all did INCREDIBLE!! Still can't believe we finished all the prompts. Had such a fun time with this readathon and being on this team with you all! I'm finally getting back on track with my reading goal which is great 🥳
Hello again, Team Caught Read-Handed. I wanted to make sure that you all see bailey's post for the I Spy Awards & Wrap-Up. You will see that our team did very well, scoring first or second for several awards. Thanks again for working together so wonderfully for this fun-filled event!

I got sidetracked yesterday and this morning with household and family stuff, but I'm back into the readathon now. 🎧📚
