Nicole | 19 comments I am 33% of the way in. I enjoy it when I am reading it. All the angst and tension and wanting to know how this 8 book series ends. But I don’t feel like picking it up. I have to force myself to, which I don’t like. It’s just so loooong.

I’d rather pick up a shorter romance or horror book right now. Do I just read a little of KoA everyday while reading other books to finish it? Or just push through?

Hana | 58 comments If you feel like you're forcing yourself to read it, then it's best to read little of it each day while reading another book. Hovewever, I can guarantee that when you pass the 50 or 70% mark, you won't be able to put it down!

evlove | 89 comments I stopped on empire of storms, but the ToG books are really hard for me to get through sometimes too. I usually did tandem reads and highly recommend that.

♤Lizzy♤ (Inactive) | 200 comments Here's some inbetween(simple non-brainfry):

-All My Kisses For You by Monica Murphy
-Renegades by Marissa Meyer
-Summer Deal by Jill Shalvis

Or you can take a break from it! It's totally fine. Or set low goals like a chapter a day.

Marion Over | 27 comments I couldn't do it.

LilMisGrayBrisk | 551 comments I listened to the audiobook for the last two books. That’s how I was able to finish the series.

Alisha Goldstein | 50 comments I read the series years ago as the last 3 were still coming out, I had to wait to find out what happens after EoS so that really got me to finish the series. Its definitely worth it if you made it this far even if its a long one.

Helen Gold | 11 comments In what order did y’all read the tog series
Assassin blade 1st? Or 3rd or 4th book?

message 9: by Hana (new)

Hana | 58 comments I read the Assissan's Blade first and even though you technically don't have to read it, I found that I understood some things in the series from reading Assassin's Blade.

Amber | 8 comments Thanks for the question and the answers. I have the series queued up in my TBR, but I just went out and acquired this little gem, and will plan to read it first based on the comments about helping to understand. You are my people!! :)

Em (eml3223) | 21 comments The last book in the series is the best as far as I am concerned, so it's perhaps worth it for that. I do think Maas is just not going to appeal to everyone. I have friends who find the romantic love scenes really cheesy or worse cringeworthy. So I think she's a hit or miss despite the fact that she never lacks hype. She obviously has an incredible agent. I honestly prefer the Crescent City series.
