Tawnya | 4086 comments I am going to guess that the procedures for moving ASINs/ISBNs changed since 2017 when these were created. The ASINs/ISBNs should have been moved to the new editions, and they weren't. I have created new editions using the criteria of today. Please merge the aces that should have had the ASINs/ISBNs. Here is the Amazon page showing that they are the proper covers: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1519414269

Indeed, the procedure has changed. I can't find the relevant message, but I recall the guidelines at the time were not to re-create ACEs that were already created the old way. You already did, so I went ahead with the merge.

Tawnya | 4086 comments Thank you David.

What would have been the proper way to handle it? I thought it was paramount for the most recent covers to have the ISBN/ASIN. Just switching covers (something I believe is against policy) would affect all of the readers who had shelved their books years ago.

David Raz (davidraz) | 13127 comments The guidelines at the time were to leave it as it is, with the ISBN/ASIN on the older edition. Maybe ask in the "Questions (from Librarians only)" folder if the guidelines have changed.
