They don't look identical at all. In fact, there isn't a single details which is identical, from title to author to publisher and publication year. You will have to supply more information than that to get it merged.

Hi David,

I completely understand since the entries are a bit of a disaster and I've spent the last couple of hours trying to tidy up.

Both books are the English translations of a foreign novel. The official entry (first link) includes all the information provided by the American publishing company distributing it. This one should be accurate.

The second entry is essentially a pirated version of the foreign novel. Translated by a small unaffiliated group and added to Goodreads years ago without permission. The slightly different title and summaries as well as the publication dates are off as a result. The author is also listed under 4 different names which I have attempted to fix. There is the Chinese name, the phonetic pronunciation of the Chinese name, a direct translation of the Chinese name, and a Thai translation of the original Chinese. Those I have mostly fixed compared to what was there before.

That's a bit clearer. If I understand correctly, Hei Dan Bai is blackegg. However, I still don't see the full picture.

I see there is an entry for a webnovel. Would the webnovel entry be for a fan translation or is this a publication by Hei Dan Bai? I note the 1010 pages, which in webnovel parlance usually means 101 chapters, close to the 106 chapters of this:

Something that worries me a little is the cover it uses. I don't read Chinese, but note the number 2.

I also see a Chinese paperback. Do we know what that is? I thought this was originally a Chinese web novel. Was there a paperback release of this edition? Again, note the cover has the number 2. If this is the original publication, then all later publications should have Hei Dan Bai as the primary author.
