My over all impression of this book was fear from the size of the book. the size and the pictures form Hugo caught my eye and made me open it. This book had a lot pictures and ok amount of words. the pictures int his book was very detailed but look like they were done by hand. the movement from scene to scene by using the pictures and the text, because the picture would help you understand what's going on in the sea. I feel that the pictures in the book played a big roll they helped with the Interplay among text, design and illustration.
