inês | 23 comments i don’t know how many tabs you use per book but i would say light and dark purple, blue and pink because they seem the most similar to the colors in the cover! <4

Abigail (swifty1104) | 16 comments usually I tab about 15 times for a book that I think is good. But for a book that I absolutely love I’ll have unlimited amounts of tabs LOL. Thank you for the recommendation.❤️❤️

emi 🪽౨ৎ | 5 comments I think you should use multiple colors and code them! like 1 color for something that made you laugh, and another color for something that made you cry or something. it def helps when you want to go back to the book to look for one of those things otherwise you don't rlly know where to look

Natalie Merrill | 8 comments I do it according to the cover as well, but my tabbing system varies per book. For example, when I tabbed the Throne of Glass series I tabbed every time the books made me emotional. I used a different color for each character every time they had an essential main character moment. I used a different color for quotes. I used a different color for foreshadowing/ world building.

I think it's completely up to your personal preference. But I do like my tabs to match my cover (at least as close as possible!) :)

I don't annotate my books a lot, but I tab the colors based on the emotions and how the sentence makes me feel. For example, light green for happy because a quote in the book could make you feel happy.
