Clarissa Labue-Pham (phamtasyartist) | 693 comments I read multiple books at a time so as soon as I am done one chapter in a book I switch to another book. while I'm reading I take extensive notes in a journal. when I finish a book I write a rough draft review in another journal and do my final review on here. I also make PDFs of my reading with a template I made. reading is like half of what I do while reading, the other half is all the notes and writing. It helps me grasp the story better and remember it for longer. I usually read at the beginning of the day before work and sometimes during on the days I work from home.

Alexandra🎀 (semi hiatus) | 136 comments I just read and tab books when I’m in the mood for it🤷‍♀️

deadlybatz⛧☾༺♰༻☽⛧ (deadlybatz) | 34 comments i read at least two books at a time, i read digital ones at work and have physical copies of books at home/beach/park/coffee shop etc, I read every night before bed at least 4 chapters. If i have a day off work ill go to my local coffee shop and read there for a couple hours or go to a nice place in the park :) Sometimes ill even spend an entire day reading a book and finishing it in one day

Bella The Bookworm (bellabuchanan) | 397 comments Not really, but if I’m annotating my book, I typically get 3 highlighters and tabs that all fit the color theme of the book, and I’ll highlight my favorite quotes and descriptions, write my rants on sticky notes and write smaller notes in the book, and tab my favorite parts or things I had a strong reaction to.

Bella The Bookworm (bellabuchanan) | 397 comments If I’m not annotating (if it’s a library copy basically) sometimes I make a notes page so I can jot down quotes and write my rants still haha

chloe ☾ (reading slump & semiactive) | 165 comments if it's a book I'm annotating then before I start reading I get my pens and/or note tabs ready and if I'm not then I set up my music because having something going in the background while I read helps me focus better on the book. while I'm reading I also start to think of a review to write and sometimes I'll write a draft and just add on to it or change anything while i read

Maddison Long | 3 comments I don’t have a reading routine I just read for enjoyment (whenever I feel like it)

message 9: by Jen's Kindle (new)

Jen's Kindle (onjenskindle) | 1 comments I read daily - and often immediately forget what I have read the moment I finish a book. To help with that, I have an ongoing Google Doc that I use to keep track of what book I am reading, when I start and finish it, and any notes that I make along the way! As a strictly e-book reader, I also use the highlight function of my Kindle for notes/quotes. I use all that info to write my reviews and fill out my reading journal.

mariya (mariya_aa) | 84 comments before i start a book, i add it to my notion template, w start date, and this other app i have
i normally read ebooks (easier to access ect) so within the app i use, i use the highlighters (theres pink,green and yellow)
this may seem weird but:
pink = female mc/ most important character
green = male mc/ 2nd important character
yellow = others
eg if i highlight sm the female mc said (like if its sm i wanna comment on) i'd use the pink highlighter, and in the notes i'd write my thoughts
the app saves the notes even if i dont have the book so its nice to look back on
after i finished a book, i note down when i finished it

charlotte | 25 comments i kinda just read whenever i feel like it but sometimes if i’m in a slump i’ll set small rules e.g. i have to read 2-3 chapters every day etc

message 12: by Briana (new)

Briana T | 1 comments I recently started reading more than one book at a time and I’ll move in between those books depending on what is the page turner of the moment for me. I’m either glued to books or I’ll go weeks with no time to read, but there’s not much rhyme or reason to my routine otherwise.

vee (froppy) | 1 comments i usually have 3 books i cycle through (one audiobook, one physical book and one ebook) sometimes i start the day with my audiobook while i get ready for the day, physical book reading really encourages me to get off my phone so i try to do that everyday and my ebook is for reading while i lay in bed 🤣 it’s been working well for me.

Sunny | 31 comments i usually have a couple of books in progress at a time. if left alone, i can read several books in a day, so i might finish 3 or 4 in one day. i'll usually also have an audio book in progress, because i can't read and drive. but i don't have anything specific that i do in order to read or anything. i just want to devour books.
