Can I read, things we left behind, the third book without reading the second book?

I read the first book, didn't like it. Wasn't interested in the second book about Nash, so I didn't read it. But I'm interested in the third book about Sloane. So, should I read the third book without reading book 2? Will I be missing much or nah?

I’m currently reading the 3rd one, I did read the 1 & 2! But you can definitely skip the second and read the 3rd one, if they talk about something that happened in the 2nd one, they explain it enough to understand!
