What book did you most want to be/make real/take part in growing up? Like one day the characters of the book would come whisk you away??

becs | 178 comments personally, mine was always Harry Potter, twilight, or the cruel Prince. So I guess a lot of books where these stories could take place in real life alongside the life we know, but these hidden worlds lived with us. I always and even now, long for these little 'found family' tropes or secret little clubs that I wanted more than anything to be real. Even at 14, I felt like the main character waiting to be taken away from this world and my problems.

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments I wanted to be a part of the Famous Five, the famous Enid Blyton series of books which is still much more popular in Europe these days than Harry Potter.
In the US Enid Blyton unfortunately never became famous. :(

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments Do you know the Enid Blyton Society, Shishira? It's an absolutely gorgeous website. Check out the Cave of Books.

♤Lizzy♤ (Inactive) | 200 comments Well, ever since I first read it I would've loved to be in the Wings of Fire series, because I wanted to be Seakeeper a IceWing, NightWing, SeaWing who struggled to find herself and find where she came from and her roots of being related to so many tribes.
But now I would really would like to be part of Fourth Wing! I would be a seemingly very tall woman with a small dragon! (On the dragon side of things)
So yeah... maybe I like dragons alot.

Linsey McKenna | 18 comments The Darkest Minds characters! Not many people enjoyed that series, but it was actually the series that formed my love for reading. I don’t know what it was about the characters and the storyline, but I just fell in love. I wanted to be that kid with those abilities to just be a cool superhuman!
