Superlibrarian - please delete 2 books

Two books seem like placeholders created in 2020 for a series not due out for another year (July 2025). Only the 2025 editions are found on Amazon.

I tried marking them as deleted but got error saying had reviews, etc.
NEITHER BOOK has reviews OR ratings, so I'm unsure why I got that message.

If a book with an ASIN or ISBN has not been published and will never be published, the author can contact staff to request that it be deleted. This is not something that a librarian is authorized to do. Please see How Do I Delete My Book From the Goodreads Database.

You were unable to delete these books because Dead and Misled has been added 49 times, and Dead to Me has been added 33 times.

This isn't a situation where the book will never be published - just what appears a placeholder edition won't be published. The books is due for publishing in 2025. Because GR auto-adds books, obviously there are times placeholders are added in error before an author has finalized a book for upcoming publication. That seems to be this case, as the original editions were added 5 years ago with only ASINs, whereas the ones set for 2025 do have details.

I have actually seen placeholder editions be deleted before, but perhaps it was ones not assigned an ASIN / ISBN, so perhaps they were totally blank except title and author (don't recall details of those situations).

Thank you for info about book being "added." The error message mentions reviews / ratings, but not wishlists, etc., so I was unaware wishlists also prevent deletion. (Seems odd that would impact deletions rather a rating or review, but okay.) Anyway, was helpful to know so I appreciate you sharing that.

Michelle, it doesn't matter if the edition is never going to be published or the entire work is not going to be published. The rule is simple: librarians (and superlibrarians) are not supposed to remove an edition with a valid ISBN or a Kindle/Audible edition with an ASIN.
Well, actually there are exceptions even to this limited rule, but this is something for another folder.
