A book with bad reviews

I thought this book would be good but was quite disappointed. The author seems to skim over the story instead of immersing the reader into Asenath's life. I thought the language was more like that of modern day America instead of ancient Egypt. Overall it was just painful to read... :(

I hate it when a book's so disappointing... I feel with you. Books shouldn't be painful in that way!

In the end this is how every one - even an author - learns. And since you don't just trash the book but are giving constructive criticism... I hope the author reads this.
