Sounds great! I always love to have you join us, Linda! :-)

See you in 2027 😱

Oh no...I'm going to update our master list right now through December, so you can start ordering the buddy read books you're interested in...so long as you enough spots to order the books. :-) We all know how it really goes.
Does your library also have Hoopla? I've never used, but I added the app because one of my friends said she had a wait list of one year on Libby and Hoopla had it available right away.

But hey, there is no waiting list for the German edition :-)"
Das hilft nicht!!! :-) :-) :-)

Thank you Lea!!

See you in 2027 😱"
OMG!!! Don’t you just hate that! Ugh!!!

LOL, whatever you say :-)"
Translation - "That doesn't help!!!" :-) :-) :-)

I've had long waiting lists, but I think this might be the longest so far...

Did I mention that's the audiobook?

Well, you were born in Europe. Surely, you understand all of the different languages! :-) :-) :-)

Fingers crossed. Sometimes the wait goes quicker. I have to have my audiobook returned in 20 days, as 15 people are waiting, I'm unlikely to be able to delay - I won't get the book back for some weeks. Although I may get started without you...I will definitely put spoiler tags and be here to discuss when you finally get your hands on a copy, Linda. I know Alissa has her copy, I'm not sure if it is library or not. I'm going to try not to speed past everyone! :-)

It sounds like Alissa is having the same problem, so you two may be buddy reading at the same time. :-)

I have done it before, but the car had no windows and I wasn't on regular streets. I always felt I could jump out the window if necessary. I'm not sure how I'd feel about cruising down the highway with a computer driving, even though the computer is probably statistically better than I am at driving.
This book is about so much more. I hope you enjoy as much as Alissa and I did.

Glad to hear you're enjoying this one. (view spoiler)

It was my first John Marrs book, but will not be my last. I guessed one of the twists but not another one, so then I had the fun of feeling smug and also the fun of having the author outsmart me. (view spoiler)
Which other book by John Marrs have you read, Linda? Would you recommend it?

Eight self-drive cars set on a collision course. Who lives, who dies? You decide.
When someone hacks into the systems of eight self-drive cars, their passengers are set on a fatal collision course.
The passengers are: a TV star, a pregnant young woman, a disabled war hero, an abused wife fleeing her husband, an illegal immigrant, a husband and wife - and parents of two - who are travelling in separate vehicles and a suicidal man. Now the public have to judge who should survive but are the passengers all that they first seem?
