Blackstone Publishing (blackstonepublishing) | 194 comments Blackstone Publishing is publishing AN HONORABLE ASSASSIN by Steve Hamilton on 8/27/2024 and there are multiple editions listed on GR (https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...). Is it possible to combine all of these edition pages? Also if the ISBNs from Penguin/GP Putnam Sons could be removed aswell, it looks like those are invalid and aren't editions that are available.

Abcdarian | 26579 comments Those editions are already combined, and will remain on Goodreads. Even though owned by amazon, Goodreads is a book data base, not a sales site, so whether or not something is available to buy currently is irrelevant. Readers shelve whatever edition they wish.

The author can set whichever edition he wishes as the default view, otherwise it will be the most often shelved edition.

Steve | 5 comments This is Steve Hamilton, the author, and I'm having a hell of a time correcting the information for this book. I have set the Blackstone hardcover as the default view, but it's still a mess. If you search on "An Honorable Assassin," for instance, it goes only to the old Putnam version (which was never published and never existed) instead of the correct version. Please help!

Abcdarian | 26579 comments When I search by title, this one comes up: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

Steve | 5 comments Abcdarian, this is exactly the problem, yes. The title you're finding is an edition that was never published. The real book will come out next month, from Blackstone, and even though I've specified that book as the primary edition, a search still leads to this non-existent "ghost" book. How can I simply make the real book show up when someone looks for it? Any help would be appreciated!

Steve | 5 comments This is the REAL edition of this book that will be published by Blackstone next month:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

How do I specify this one as the "primary edition," so that anyone searching on "Honorable Assassin" will go here instead of to the non-existent ghost book (the book that was previously going to be published by Putnam but never happened)?

(And yes, I did edit the real book's page to specify it as the primary edition. THIS DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.)

Abcdarian | 26579 comments Try contacting Support; I don't think there is anything a librarian can do at this point.

Steve | 5 comments Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I see many links for discussing, posting, asking, etc. Where do I go to contact Support?

message 9: by Abcdarian (new)

Abcdarian | 26579 comments Ah, sorry. The Help links will get you there, but here is a form: https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...
