Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments He was Zidran Kareem, one of the most well known and feared people. How could he have been caught, unless that was all part of an act to lure everyone away. What, why, how were we supposed to deal with this. The others were visibly shocked, but many were smiling.

In the blink of an eye, weapons were draw. Pointing at us!
" What's all this about" I question 'You two will get us a lot of money'- " I'm not with him" I interrupt "I'm a warrior just as you are". The faint light darkens even more, a cloud covering the moon. I could no longer see who was talking but their breathing was noisy enough to know where everyone was. You may be a warrior but turning in two people is much more money, and no one will believe you anyways.

Arbaz (arbaz04khan) | 85 comments Things got dirty, from what I understood, her own people had turned against her, it was horrible. My hands were still tied, I needed them open, three warriors were a piece of cake for me. I just needed to get free of the restraints and for that, someone must attack me.

I looked at Talia and even in the darkness, I was sure she understood what I wanted her to. I charged with my tied hands above my head towards the first sword bearer, she brought it down reflexively. Plan worked. I managed to bring the sword between both my hands and the rope was sheared, my hands could celebrate now. I quickly unsheathed my sword and disarmed the one who had just accidently helped me. Everyone looked awed.

Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments His eyes lock with mine, I'm uncertain what to do, I can't believe they would just turn on me, that doesn't follow anything I've ever been taught. I watch as he rushes forwards easily freeing himself and disarming the skilled warrior. He's got this under control. This is my chance, I quietly leave, keeping my eyes trained on the unfolding scene.

Using the darkness to their advantage,I see that another two warriors come out of the shadows, Zidran is surrounded. My heart sinks as I realise that they plan to kill him. Dashing forward drawing everyone's attention I disarm the first one knocking him out. My hair is being pulled, knees hitting the ground I twist and stab the warrior.

Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments (( wait, was it Talia that freed zidran or a random warrior? I'll re-write the above if you want ))

Arbaz (arbaz04khan) | 85 comments I had two warriors on me, but Talia was having it hard. She was already on the ground but fighting back. I screamed and suddenly everything went quiet. I had everyone's attention. I held my sword up.
"Do you know this sword?" it was an obvious question, anyone could recognize that hilt and that handle, the subtle decline on both sides of the blade and the prominent silver plated handle.
"It's one of the five Azilian swords," one of the warriors said in almost a whisper. The shock evident in her tone. The five Azilian swords were probably the greatest blades ever made, the steel was so strong it could cut right through a normal blade. Everyone knew, the tables had turned.
"Now, what would happen darling, if you were to battle me," I smiled a devil and everyone clutched their swords more firmly.

Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments H-How does he have one of the Azilian swords? The swords that could cut through man and steel the same. No one would attack him now as long as he holds the sword, no one with half a brain at least. I stand up watching, unsure if he would attack or not, the others begin to slowly back away not daring to lower their weapons.

"I think there's been a misunderstanding" says a warrior who's moved the farthest away speaks" you see we only were joking" "yeah, definitely joking" the others chimed in. " no harm in joking, right?"

Arbaz (arbaz04khan) | 85 comments "Of course there isn't, but just in case," I said with a laugh, but it was difficult to trust doubleminded people. Before anyone of them could react I had disarmed them, their swords on ground.
"Now I think it should make a lot more sense," my shoulder was making it difficult to move quick enough!
"Talia, I suppose that is your name, tie them up and let's get back to your camp!"

Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments I nod my head. No one dares to fight or run,as I tied them to a couple of trees. " Alright they won't be moving anytime soon" I look at Zidran, it was obvious that he was in pain, keeping his injured arm close trying to avoid any unnecessary movements. I quickly scanned our surroundings and immediately spotted the flowers I needed. Gathering a handful, I hurried back to Zidran's side.
"Thankfully, I have some oil with me," I said, already beginning to gently mash the fragrant flowers into the small container. "Let this sit for a minute then put it on your shoulder." I grabbed two horses, then turned back to Zidran. Seeing him inspecting the ointment "I promise, this is not poison. It's a calendula ointment to help soothe your shoulder." I laugh at his disbelieving face.

Arbaz (arbaz04khan) | 85 comments "Why are you so accommodating suddenly?" I said as I sniffed the ointment she had given. She was readying herself with two of the horses.

Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments "Well, I believe it would be in our best interests to work together" I suggest, meeting his gaze intently. "You need to return to your kingdom - you're injured. Plus, I'm not convinced this kingdom is as safe as it once was - the others have already turned against me, after all." It would be much easier to head to the other kingdom with him than to go on my own.

message 62: by Arbaz (new)

Arbaz (arbaz04khan) | 85 comments "Going back," I considered scratching my beard slowly, "I don't really go back to the 'kingdom', we live on the outskirts as bandits!"
If I am to go back, leaving her behind is fatal and parallel. Taking her along is a gamble, her people have turned against her. Giving her up would mean rewards to them, and information on me would mean heavan.
"We'll go back, to my town and have them as prisoners," I said pausing in my stride.
"Why should we do that," one of the hostages asked, I smiled at her.
"I am keeping you alive!" I smirked.

Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments As I watched him I couldn't help but wonder why he didn't want to go back to his kingdom, perhaps it was a simple dispute or maybe he genuinely disliked it there. I shrugged inwardly, deciding not to worry about it too much. After all, I was going there for my own reasons, not to get involved in his drama.
Hmm taking prisoners interesting. he seems able to keep them in line. I simile as they watch him fearfully, that's what you get for turning on me. " so where is your town?" I ask keeping my tone light and friendly

message 64: by Arbaz (new)

Arbaz (arbaz04khan) | 85 comments "Isn't too far, a half a day's walk from where you caught me!" Everyone again looked at me in surprise.
"Aah, I know. But my horse was slain so..." I said shrugging my shoulders!
"Oh wait, you must have horses at your camp, enough to get us going. But then, they might turn against me and it'd be difficult to keep you under control with the horses, we better walk."

Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments " walking sounds fine" I didn't realise how far he travelled with an injured shoulder, and speaking about it so nonchalantly that was real strength doing something and not bragging about it. We begin walking in a comfortable silence."why are you taking prisoners?" I question " It'd be quicker without them"

message 66: by Arbaz (new)

Arbaz (arbaz04khan) | 85 comments "You want me to kill them?" I said, surprised. It wasn't really something I expected from her.

Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments "No, no, just to leave them, that way they could find their way back to their homes" I say quickly eyes widening.

message 68: by Arbaz (new)

Arbaz (arbaz04khan) | 85 comments "That would be a bad idea, leaving them. Prisoners would be best. I don't like them going back. Huda, my small town has been a good secret for quite a while now. If they go back, they'll definitely bring trouble to my people," I said looking at our hostages.

Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments " I guess they would bring trouble " I respond. " So your town is Huda, I haven't heard or read anything about it, although lately I've noticed that all the maps are changing "

message 70: by Arbaz (new)

Arbaz (arbaz04khan) | 85 comments "Yeah, it's a well preserved secret, once you come to it, you are not supposed to leave it alive," I said sheathing my sword. The wound had started bleeding again. She looked at me with a puzzled expression.

Coco (freedom for all) Semi-Haitus | 105 comments why was it that every time I talked to him there were always more questions than answers. What type of town was this that didn't allow anyone to leave alive? How did he leave alive? Was it all connected to the Karem clan mystery? The only way to answer my questions would be to wait and see. Hopefully they'd have something to properly heal his shoulder.

message 72: by Arbaz (new)

Arbaz (arbaz04khan) | 85 comments "I know what you are thinking," she looked at me in shock, "oh don't worry, I can't read minds but it would be a shame if I couldn't read faces!" I looked back at the path in front of me. The light was now starting to come through the mountains, the stones scrunched beneath my feet and the grass was glistening with dew. "No one leaves alive, so that our land is not discovered. The sun will soon be out and so we would need to blindfold everyone, if anyone has a good sense of smell or is good at hearing, we need to plug them up as well!"
