Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments Hi group, I'm wondering what is the best way to approach this situation.

To keep it short The Shadowhunter Chronicles is an urban fantasy series that covers from around the French Revolution to present time, and the publication and chronological order doesn't align.

This series here was The Shadowhunter Chronicles in chronological order: https://www.goodreads.com/series/2428... someone has now changed it to publication order.

The person first created this series 'The Shadowhunters Chronicles [Publishing Order]': https://www.goodreads.com/series/3970... with only two books in it, abandoned it and changed the series that was in chronological order to be the one for the publishing order instead but wrote the chronological order in the description.

It is my understanding that we shouldn't change series like that but I thought it would be best to confirm in the group.

So I'm asking what is the best way to approach this:

1- Change the series back to the way it was (or we make it better by following the chronological order in the description, because each story in the anthologies is from a different time period and they all have individual records) and fill out the one that says 'publishing order' with, well, the publication order.

2- Delete the publishing order series that has two books because changing the first series page from chronological to publishing is fine.

3- Other.

Scott | 8664 comments I think publishing order should take priority. I would delete the "shorter" series, and leave the complete one the way it is.

Thank you Scott, I deleted the shorter series. I appreciate the advice.
