I personally really liked the Shadowhunter world by Cassandra Clare. i started by reading the mortal instrument series and then worked my way through her entire world!

Hunger Games, School For Good and Evil, Divergent, Percy Jackson, A Good Girls Guide To Murder, And Then There Were None, Maze Runner series, KOTLC, The Devils Arithmetic, Wonder. Thats some to start with :)
