Clara noticed bramble was following what she did but she put it aside and just closed her eyes to breath

He looked out at the sky, wondering what was going on up there. He noticed Clara had closed her eyes. He kept his open to watch the sky. The clouds moved by slowly.

Clara was sitting in the strawberry fields in the late afternoon on her break from the infirmary
Bramble walked up behind Clara, hoping she hadn’t noticed him yet. He stepped carefully, but he accidentally stepped on a crunchy leaf.
Clara heard a crunch behind her and snapped her head. She was relieved to see bramble standing in there
“Didn’t think it was me?” He teased, sitting down next to her.
“Didn’t really expect anyone” she replied with a small laugh
“On a nice day like this?” He replied, looking out at the trees and he heard birds singing, back and forth.p to each other.
“Well everyone is taking their Greek language tests right now except people who are in the infirmary who will do it later” Clara replied
“True.” He said, looking around at the mostly empty camp, a few campers here and there. “What were you planning to do today? Mostly work in the infirmary, I'm guessing.”
“Yeah Im just on break right now”
“I knew that.” He said, looking over at her.

He sighed. “I… I’ve liked you for a while.” He said blushing.
“Oh.” He said, blushing. “I didn’t know you liked me back.” He tried not to make eye contact, afraid of making himself embarrassed.
Clara just smiled not knowing what to say
“That felt good to get out.” He said.
“Yeah” she said with a small grin on her face
He smiled, still blushing madly. “So.”
“So buttons” she said with a laugh trying to lighten the mood “that’s something my mom used to say whenever someone sad so…”
He smiled. “When did you get to camp. I forgot to ask. After a month.”
“About 3 years ago” she responded
“Hmm.” He fidgeted with a leaf in his hand
“Were you born here?” She asked him
“Yeah.” He said. “I’ve left camp before to get campers here, but no quests or anything.”
“We said that we liked each other but does that mean we are dating?” Clara asked
“I didn’t think about that.” He said
