That's not an author profile, it's their reader/user profile. They could claim the author profile https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... if they wish.

Hi, I am the author and I'm not able to make my reader page an author page because this is my first book, and I can't claim this book because it's already attached to an author (the blank Lane Smith page that is there now). It was initially linked to a different author who is named Lane Smith, and when we reported the issue I was told to create a new profile, and that is this profile that I am using now. Please advise how I can claim the book to make this my author profile. Thank you!

The profile you are using now is a reader profile. When you claim the author profile https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... the two will merge.
