I’m Nina Lovely Lehman and I’m here for book babes and the bibliophiles
Hi I'm Cass and I joined Goodreads last year. I unfortunately take quite a bit of time to comprehend what I'm reading, therefore I'm a really slow reader. I picked up reading again I think about 2 years ago after not reading for a long time. I often find myself very unmotivated and unable to pick up a book constantly, so reading a book takes me on average 2 weeks to about 2 months. I love reading about crime, mystery and romance but I only like reading fiction.

Hi all, my name is MaryEllen and I live in Upstate NY. Recently retired after over 40 years in education. Spend most of my free time knitting but who can resist a good mystery! Some of my favorite authors are Tana French, Richard Osman, Jane Harper, Louise Penny and Robert Galbraith. Look forward to seeing what other mystery enthusiasts are reading!

my thoughts:Exiles: Jane Harper
If this is the last book with Falk, I’ll miss him. I would say that there was enough of a dangle at the end that he could come back. Two mysteries here, a woman who vanished, leaving her baby behind, and a never solved hit and run accident in a small insular town. Falk gets involved in both, but the strength of the tale is not in his police procedure, it is in his humanity, and seeing his inner dialogue both professionally and personally as he tries to build a life he wants to live. (A)

Hi, I've been here a while, but no commented until now. My name is Holly, I'm a 48 yr old mom of three (2sons 22 and 25, 1 daughter 18). I'm a narrator/producer of audiobooks and switched to listening exclusively as I realized, to my delight, I could "read" almost continuously this way! Listening to books that I have repeatedly read in the past makes them almost new again and I highly recommend audiobooks to all copious readers. Ok, enough chatter. That's a decent intro to me!

Hi Everyone:I love how organized this group is! I have been reading a lot of mysteries and thrillers this year (but I'm a pretty eclectic reader, in general) and am hoping to find some good recs and new fave authors. I'm a writer, a wife, mother of a twenty-something who is getting married this year, a comfort-shawl knitter (for hospice and women's shelters), and book addict. Oh, and coffee drinker. Looking forward to hanging out here.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, I'm happy to add more friends!

It definitely helps me to read by ear & do something else while listening.

It is! I have had to put it on hold due to medical issues, but I really want to start up again. It is so fun, but NOT lucrative unless you can find a job paying per hour or by word count or (as I have been blessed to have) authors who want to work with you privately and pay a set price foregoing the ACX restrictions. That is the reason I "collect" accents! Future inspiration! PS: Robert Galbraith (aka Rowling) is not to be missed! The audios are worth it since they are usually around 25-35 HOURS! And never ever boring!

Hi Everyone- I just joined this group. I took a new job a year ago that gives me more free time to read (yay!) and involves some travel, so I’ve been listening to audiobooks too. I miss being part of a book club and am excited to try this out! I live in missouri and read all sorts of fiction but especially like mysteries. Thanks for letting me join!

Top of the morning, y’all! Amanda here. Colorado born, Texas raised, back to living in Colorado. I love the snow, sunsets, my two Cats Bonnie and Clyde, and especially a good twisted story.
I got into readying around 2019. I needed a distraction from my life and fell in love with books to do that. Thrillers are my favorite. Freida McFadden is my least favorite author and John Marrs has my heart.
Not sure what else there is to say but *cheers* to be around my people. 🙃

Hi! My name is Seweryn. It's a polish name. I'm extremely fussy reader. When I start to read a novel typically it's enough for me to read only few pages to realize if I'll enjoy it or not. When I love a book from the gecko I can't wait to continue the reading. My problem is that I am extremely fussy reader and I don't like a lot of books. The same just from the very gecko I feel that this one is not for me. Sometimes I force myself to read a hundred pages or more but only to achieve a state when I begin to think about something else during the reading. I dnf literally every third book. Now my average rating is 2.95. 111 ratings and about 37 dnfs. But still I love to read books. If not reading and listening I wouldn't be able to communicate in English.

It hurts to start a book and find that it is dragon.

Hello Everyone! I’m Glenn checking in from San Diego. I fell in love with Jack Carr’s character James Reece and his political trillers have me hooked! I’ve also been reading the corresponding Jack Reacher books to the Amazon series of Reacher which is fantastic. Lately, I’ve been getting into Fantasy novels, Red Rising. When I’m not reading I’m usually watching sports with the family or shooting pool. Thanks for having me. Looking forward to being part of a reading group.

Hi Sam and welcome. I remember those AOL days fondly. I wonder if AOL ever regrets dumping their boards? They could have pivoted and claimed the space that Goodreads and others now hold.
