What are some good books to get out of a slump and hooks you right away

It really depends on what you're into normally as a theme, I think.

When I was in a hiatus of books, I was still reading manga and webtoons and surprisingly what got me back to reading was the webcomic of Heartstopper, I was so much in love with the light atmosphere, the juvenile romance and the kind way the relationship evolved between the characters that I started seeking what people recommend for the fans. Then out of a list I started with Simon and the homosapiens agenda and Red, white and royal blue and here I am, reading again, absolutely in love with queer authors, romance and a few other genres I wasn't even interested from the start but catched my attention as well like historic fiction and steampunk.

So I guess I would start by thinking about the medias you already consume, like, what's the last movie or show you loved? and what did you love about it? then seek for books starting there.
