vee ꨄ | 8 comments Honestly I find it very hard to find time to read with all the work that comes from being a uni student. However I set myself 30minutes every night for reading. No phone, no music, just me and my book for that time so I can enjoy it as much as I can.

I also use having time to read as a motivation! It helps me finish my assignments faster since I know that when I’m finished I’ll have time to read.

It’s very hard but always try to find a balance between work and the things you do for fun!! 🫶🏼

littlefox (not as active) | 62 comments i second what vicky said, and i'd also like to add that whenever you're taking a break from studying (like if you use the pomodoro technique or smthn like that), you can use your break time to read a chapter and then jump back into your studies. that's what i do, plus i try to read 5 chapters every night before i go to bed. i typically read at least one book a week!

anonymous (anonymous_891) | 1 comments weirdly i read more when i have other stuff to do. currently i have my summer holidays going on and will start college this august. before this, even when i was studying quite a lot for my college entrance exams, i somehow read more than i do right now (when i have absolutely nothing to do). it just felt better then, reading a bit during study breaks / breaks between class... now since i have nothing to do, i somehow keep going to my laptop/phone instead of reading and it sucks.. more often than not i end up getting distracted by other stuff even if i do happen to pick up a book :/
ig if you wanna manage reading as a student you should think of reading as a prize after having studied for a while.. thats what worked for me :) i read for a while in the morning right before studying; and as i mentioned before, during study breaks. i got the most reading done at night just before going to sleep :))
another thing i'd suggest (which i didnt do myself but i would have if i had the chance) is listening to audiobooks while doing some menial work / daily chores. hope this helps!

Thats the same for me. I read a crap ton during the school year but now that I am free (except when I am working) I feel like I have no reason too
