This is a strange little book, but it turned out to be absolutely charming. It has the quality that makes one wonder if you should keep reading, and somehow you do - and then Boom! You are crying. Huge racketing sobs. The thing that was totally strange became deeply moving in the most fantastical way. This is another story about the power of stories and books to transform, but also creating something magical out of trauma and loss, simply by wishing, daring to face your fears, and entering a magical world that were the stories that lifted and saved. I stayed up all night to read the entire thing (to my detriment of the day.). I really ended up totally loving it. But you kind of have to stay with it to get there.
