Epilogues - yes or no?

I only dislike them sometimes, but I usually find them entertaining. However, I understand your POV.

it depends on the kind of epilogue if it’s set a bunch of years later and they’re married and stuff then no i really don’t like that 😭 but if it’s maybe not too many years later or if it’s about a different character then yeah it could be written well

i don’t love epilogues because, normally, it’s out of context and i feel like everything is way to rushed. But if they are written well and not a lot time had passed, i absolutely love them.

i also don’t like when they write about them being married and having kids but I like when it’s just the main character talking about what they learned throughout their journey and kinda reflecting on their story! idk if that makes sense

I do enjoy a HEA epilogue, but I enjoy an epilogue even more if it's something completely different than having babies and getting married.

i only enjoy epilogues at the end of series as a “where are they now” but i don’t think they are necessary for a standalone at all!

If they’re actually relevant, yes- if it’s an unnecessary jump forward in time that doesn’t add anything to the story then no.

some epilogues are so unnecessary, but some are cute and worth reading, so it’s a maybe for me!
