can I read Devil's Night books as stands alone?

I really want to start reading Devil's Night Book as a standalone but I need to read all the books in sequence?

There’s a lot that’s going on from the first book. In my opinion it can’t be read as standalone book/books everything that’s going on comes back to the first. I saw one girl mention how she started with the 3rd first then went to the 1st and 2nd.

I didn’t read that way I done it in order since I saw online there’s so much information to take in

unfortunately u can't u have to kinda suffer through corrupt bc there's waaayyy too much character information you'd miss if you skipped it, but the other books are amazing so it's worth it
