As mentioned before: The little Girl who lives down the Lane by Laird Koenig.

I struggled with Lightlark by Alex Aster, and it's second book Nightbane.
I feel like there was such a cool concept but very not great execution and everyone seems to love the book!
I really wanna have a conversation with someone who likes the books so that I can get a different understanding.
