I think you guys are maybe taking this too seriously. I agree it’s not right to log books in another language than the one you read it in. But… I also think that it’s not right to log books in a different edition than the one you read it in just because it has more pages (you didn’t read those extra pages, you read the edition you’ve got), but that’s allowed since the beginning I guess (I’ve never done it), so use the tools you have within the rules and that’s it guys. I don’t think you should get upset at each other about it.

see what u were all saying was: if there was a book whose original edition was say 100 pages and there was another english edition with like 130, it's okay to log the 130. but if the only other edition other than the 100 was a 130 pages german edition it's totally wrong to log that one.

i still say the language doesnt matter because only the pages do. thats what we get the points from. as long as it isnt more than 1.5x why shouldnt we be able to log another language

Did you read the book in German? Then its fine. You read the book in ENGLISH so log it in this language,

and its okay to log the other edition of the same book cause as far as i know one of the teams cant log in a book with even/odd number of pages or smth,,
