It shows "Deleted (This status can't be changed as it has been set by an administrator.) "

It has ISBN, and it is not a duplication. Why so? I have no idea at all...

I have had that happen in the past. They are usually pretty quick about reversing things like this. It was weird that it was a bot and not a human though. I hope that isn't going to be a new thing. The bots screw up all of the time, but at least we can fix it. If this is going to be the new norm, that is going to be problematic.

So the next question is where is the support that i can write into? I'm so lost... lol

Tawnya | 4260 comments I have it bookmarked since I send requests daily. When the bots kick out ISBNs they are the only one that can fix it. They are probably sick of me.

contact support

I think I figured out why GR stopped allowing librarians to move ISBNs. The author I have been cleaning up since January (there is so much mess) has around 100! books that were "created" when a person moved the ASIN into its own edition to create ACE's, 80% were not even new covers, just the lighting was different. In the summer my hair used to look blonde outside instead of the strawberry-blond it actually was. Does that mean I am 2 different people? No. Support has been very helpful in rectifying all of the false editions.

As I said with this book, it is weird that the bot did it, especially since it is on the Amazon site. Good luck.

Olga Silverstone (olgasilverstone) | 6771 comments Hi! I see you are a Chinese speaking librarian. Have you seen this thread?
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

We already have a librarian who helps with Chinese request, but it would be great if a native speaker could join in. There are a lof of requests in Chinese.
Chinese thread here:

Hi, I haven't seen this thread before. But I'm glad to help. So, I'll pay attention to that requests thread from now on. :-)

Hi Olga, thanks for the link. I have added the thread to my notification list. I will also try to help handle those Chinese requests in the thread.

By the way, there are also ad-hoc Librarian Groups created for Mandarin Chinese requests from readers:

(1) 中文图书书友会 (Chinese Language Book Reader Group)
https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
(2) 繁體中文書疑難雜症 (Traditional Chinese Book)
https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

There are more requests for Chinese books in these groups since most readers would preferably use their native language to communicate and find help. WaldenOgre created the first group and has been handling most of these requests very timely and diligently. Recently, I've also started helping with some of the requests. If there are any book requests or edits that need help in Chinese, please don't hesitate to leave us a message.

Olga Silverstone (olgasilverstone) | 6771 comments Great! We should add these groups to the Chinese language thread.

For future reference, the Questions folder is for general questions, not for book edit or other requests. Moved to correct folder.
