These authors are the same person

I own a copy of Nature of Trauma in American Novels and it's actually got Balaev as the last name on the cover (same in the goodreads entry for it).

Per their twitter account bio (see here https://x.com/MichelleBalaev) I think that they may have gotten married?

I tried to find more information about the authors name change but it seems like anything they published under the name Balaev just stayed the same
