BangtonBoy | 7 comments I am reading the new novel by Naz Kutub. In chapter thirty-six, the MC sits at the desk where his illustrator father worked. The same chair in which his father would sit as he decided how to draw a baby sloth, a grieving elephant, "or a kaiju who had to find a way to love himself." An Easter egg reference to the manga, THE GAY WHO TURNED KAIJU by Kazuki Minamoto, about a teenage boy who has to learn to love himself...or just a coincidence?
