She had the ability to touch the stars

Some even suspected that he wasn't human. But the girl knew better. He was human, He was just eccentric. And possibly cursed.
It was the curse, some guessed, that allowed Brandy to touch the stars. but Brandy always wondered how her beautiful gift could come from a curse. Secretly, she thought it might be the thing that would help her break it.
She would never admit it, but there was a small part of Brandy that hoped she wouldn't break the curse, in fear that the stars would end up being ordinary to her, that they'd end up being just some twinkling lights in a vastly dark sky, forever out of reach and ignorant of when she calls them by name.
Now she feared that the curse may have to be broken. What if she rescued the stars from the Sorcerer, only to lose them? Could she bear it? But the alternative was worse. She would still lose the stars, and they would lose their freedom. she could never allow that. And so, she went to her grandfather's house. Perhaps there was a way not to lose her gift. But even if there wasn't, she must save the stars.
On her way there she came across a weird hole in the ground, but it didn't belong to an animal so what?...
She had always believed that hobbits were fictitious, but after all, if she could talk to stars, why couldn't hobbits exist? The question was whether this would be a normal hobbit, or one of the rare adventurous kinds, who might help her on her quest.
Hopefully it is an adventurous kind. she thought to herself. She decided to find out by going inside....
(Second dinner, lol)"I'm sorry to bother you, Mr. Hobbit," she said, looking around the room nervously. Brandy wanted to tell the hobbit about the adventure she was about to go on, but she was struggling to find the right words to explain it.
I must say this hobbit has a temper like no other. " I wasn't trying to say you eat too much" the girl said, "It's just I wanted to tell you something."
"Well..." She wasn't' quite sure how to word this. And she was feeling more certain by the moment that this hobbit was not the adventurous kind. "There is an evil sorcorer who is capturing stars, and using them for their power."The hobbit simply stared.
"And I need to rescue them."
She hesitated for a moment. "Well, Mr. Hobbit, to be honest, I'm not completely sure yet, but I was hoping you'd like to go on this adventure with me." She answered quietly.
The hobbit grunted and set down his teacup with a delicate *clink*. “Where did you get the notion that hobbits actually ENJOY going on adventures? I have a lovely little home here with a fully-stocked pantry, and I don’t plan on leaving unless it goes up in flames. Or a flood. Or any other natural disaster, really.”
"I'm sorry, sir," Brandy said. 'I just thought, perhaps... I've heard of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, you see, and I figured I had nothing to lose. And you don't want the stars to all be captured, do you? There would be none left in the sky."
