Deleting or merging an edition

Hi there,
I've added a new edition of this book, as I needed to upload an edited cover (I did this because I was advised that the covers on existing books cannot be updated). It isn't an alternative cover, but rather the title text on the initial cover wasn't properly centred and I needed to fix it, so I'd rather the initial cover didn't exist anymore. Is it possible to delete or hide that old edition (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) and keep only the new one (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) with the proper cover, without deleting any of the reviews or ratings? Or merge them with the new, correct cover?

Was the cover with the uncentered text distributed in any way, including ARCs?

No it was not, all of the ARCs had the updated cover.
