Deleting an edition

Hi there,
I've added a new edition of this book, as I needed to upload an edited cover. It isn't an alternative cover, but rather the title text on the initial cover wasn't properly centred and I needed to fix it, so I'd rather the initial cover didn't exist anymore. Is it possible to delete or hide that old edition (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) and keep only the new one (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) with the proper cover, without deleting any of the reviews or ratings?

You should not have created a further edition. Librarians cannot merge the duplicate due to number of ratings.
If nothing, including ARCs, has been issued with the old cover you can submit a request in superlibrarian folder to ask them to merge the duplicate.

I created the new edition because I was advised that covers for existing books cannot be updated.
When you say "issued", do you mean if no one has left a rating or review on the edition with the old cover? I have issued ARCs and the ARCs themselves had the new cover, but reviews were left on the old Goodreads listing with the old cover.

Reviews and ratings will transfer if editions are merged.
By 'issued' I mean published (made publicly available)
