The author does not tell us what happened to Mark. So my question is: Do you think he deserves to go down with CeCe for the crimes she committed?

He does. At least he should lose his job. Extortion showed poor character, and he definitely should NEVER be trusted among his colleagues.
Yeah, he should be disbarred. He should have just reported her instead of letting her use serial politics to keep him quiet.
