This one looks really interesting, and it's written in verse, which I think I've only read one book in verse before.

Katie, I love books in verse! I love Ellen Hopkins books and all teenagers that like to read that I know of love her books.

I've read 2 books by Ellen Hopkins and I have liked them. I need to read some more of her books sometime.

Yeah, I'm glad mine does. I hadn't used my library in a while, since I was away at school, but now I'm able to use it again, and I'm glad, since that way I don't have to buy everything that I want to read.

I've finished the section called Fall. This is really a quick read, since it's in verse.

I've finished the Winter section now. I'm liking this book so far.

OMG I can't believe that Mira (view spoiler)[walked in on her dad and his lover. It would be bad enough for a "regular" affair, but to find out her dad is gay or bi like that...ugh! (hide spoiler)]

Mira sure doesn't seem to have any (view spoiler)[respect for her mother. I think she's lost respect for both, but especially her mom for not being there much of the time. (hide spoiler)]

This is definitely (and unfortunately) realistic fiction.

I was sad to (view spoiler)[read that Mira's and April's dad had full blown AIDS and was only give a month. A "countdown" would be awful. I wish that Mira would give her dad a break. Time is short and in their course almost non-existent. :o( (hide spoiler)]

The one person that REALLY angered me so far is (view spoiler)[Adam. His reaction to Mira's father's diagnosis was awful. I understand some fear at that time because so little was really understood back then and to have AIDS was pretty much being diagnosed with DEATH. Send the grim reaper. But come on, the girl just gave her virginity to him and he acted like she gave him full blown AIDS right then! (hide spoiler)]

I'm going to finish the Summer section and I'll get back to you.

I was working on some other books for the past two days, since I got about halfway through this, but I plan to go back to this today and finish it today too hopefully.
