David Raz (davidraz) | 13082 comments The word "The" is redundant. All series are "the X series". For example, it's not "The Harry Potter" series, it's simply "Harry Potter".

David Raz (davidraz) | 13082 comments We all have our personal preferences. To me, using definite articles in series names feels almost as awkward as adding "Series" to the title. However, it's not a major issue, so I went ahead and made the change as you requested. I can't guarantee another librarian wont undo it.

Scott | 9147 comments Unless the thing that it is a series of is actually a "the" thing (like, um... The Shining) I prefer to leave it out as well.

Here is the series again in case someone feels stronger about this than myself.

Camille | 2302 comments It really is librarian preference. I do not like it with the article at the beginning of the series. I definitely do not add "Series" to the series title.

This discussion reminds me of another series I just added a book to: https://www.goodreads.com/series/3077...

Some librarians might have named this series Cleopatra Fox Mysteries or Cleopatra Fox Mystery.
