An Immovable Object question

Upon reading each chapter, were you able to make connections between the stories contained in it with the overall theme of the section? For instance, in the Chapter "The Human Cannonball" did you draw a line from my friend Chris getting dunked at school with my own baptism? Or in the section about thinking things are permanent, such as the brick place of worship I had attended being removed by the power of my own hands, did you connect that to the dye in the cars interior? What are some other examples you noticed?
